Sterlo: Bird should be free to play
GREG Bird should not miss any Origin games for his tackle on Bryson Goodwin.
Before all you Queensland supporters jump up screaming about bias and favouritism, I can assure you I’d be saying the same thing about Johnathan Thurston or Cooper Cronk if they were in the same position.
I also completely understand and support the NRL crackdown on lifting tackles.
It’s just that on this occasion I believe the penalty is too harsh on two fronts.
